Project Description
The Ara Tai Reserve and the Half Moon Bay Public Boat ramp required refurbishment of the existing boat ramp facility. Total Floating Systems were contracted to supply all materials, construct new abutment, drive new piles and install the concrete floating structure.
Performance
All works were undertaken on time and within budget. Health and Safety - No incidents The proposed works were undertaken in such a way to allow public access to be maintained throughout the entire project. Feedback on the performance of Total Floating Systems at the Half Moon Bay Boat Ramp has been positive and this led to the awarding of subsequent work at Kawakawa Bay.
Physical Works Associated with the Boat Ramp
- Demolish and remove 2 existing floating structures, piles and abutments
- Supply and installation of 80m of new pontoons, piles and launchings
- Repair surface of the existing concrete boat ramp
